I was visiting Argostoli with a friend for a week in September, and wanted a friendly guest house which was situated near the centre of town.
Villa Vivian fitted the bill completely. We were met at the airport by Nikos, and taken to Villa Vivian. There we were welcomed by Vivian who had made us home made cake and apricot jam, and had ensured that the fridge had milk, water and the cupboard had tea and coffee.
The villa has an authentic Greek feel to it, and is ideally placed for the attractions do the town, but far enough away to be quiet.brooms have air conditioning and a ceiling fan, ensuring comfort on the hottest nights
The studio we stayed was simple, but comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed, and nothing we did not. The accommodation consisted of a small kitchen, good sized bathroom with a shower and spacious bedroom. Wi fi and hair dryers supplied., and there is a small lift for less mobile guests. Parking is available for hire cars in the street outside
There was a balcony which was great to sit out on in the evening, and would have enjoyed great views if not for an incomplete building nearby. Nevertheless, we enjoyed sitting out in the evening with a bottle of local wine. Usually following a hard day at the beach in nearby Lassi, or a boat or island trip, and a lovely meal in one of the many local cafés and restaurants. Perfect.

The owners were helpful and friendly, and live on the premises. They have been there for 23 years, and are clearly proud of their business. They were happy to show us other rooms and a superb top floor apartment which would be ideal for a family, or two couples.
Villa Vivian was my kind of place, and I am considering returning with my husband next year.
